The Historical Society of Perry County is thrilled to announce that nearly $17,500 in grant funding has been secured from two separate sources.
A $9,500 matching grant was generously awarded by the Hoverter Foundation to support the replacement of the metal roof at Dromgold Farm. This project marks the beginning of a renewed focus on the property, ushering in a new era of restoration and preservation. We are excited to honor and preserve the farm’s rich agricultural legacy through this endeavor.
Additionally, an $8,000 grant was received from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. These funds will provide essential operating support, covering staff salaries and other expenses critical to advancing our mission: to preserve, protect, and interpret the history of Perry County.
We extend our gratitude to these organizations for their support and look forward to continuing our work to safeguard the county’s heritage.
